Nurudeen Gbadamosi is a New Sacred Artist working primarily in stone carving. He is the son of Buraimoh Gbadamosi, who was a master stone carver as well as neighbour and close associate of Susanne Wenger. The elder Gbadamosi's magnificent stone sculptures are displayed throughout the Osun Osogbo Sacred Grove as well as inside and outside of Wenger’s house. Originally a tailor by trade, Buraimoh Gbadamosi was encouraged by Wenger to try his hand at wood carving, and he demonstrated enormous talent. His first works of art were commissioned for her house, where many of his pieces are on display. Nurudeen Gbadamosi is following in his illustrious father's footsteps and is bringing new innovations into stone carving as an art practice.
