The most powerful protection of the Grassland Kingdoms of Cameroon come from the secret Nyang Nyang societies. Their members are covered with charcoal and oil and carry the blackend horns of the forest bongo horns. Once masked in this otherworldly guise they channel the ancestral forces, terrifying the enemy, and banishing evil spirits.
