This is a scull used to move a non-powered boat through water during handline fishing on a boat. It was generally carved out of chinaberry wood. The handle of a scull is shaped like the bell pounder used in a Korean Buddhist temple, and the shaft is cylindrical. The blade is flat and wide with a hole that allows a string to be inserted for securing the scull to the boat.
