One photograph of a steeplejack suspended on a church steeple completing repairs. Caption on back reads: 'Chigwell Parish Church, Essex, which Charles Dickens often visited and wrote about, was threatened with the Death Watch Beetle. A steeplejack discovered the pest when he went aloft to take down the weathervane for regilding. The woodwork under the spire is now being attended to and the affected parts renewed'.
