Ointment Glass Jar / Unguentarium

This glass jar was found at the archaeological burial site of Al-Mezruah and discovered by the Danish Archaeological Expedition in 1961. This tomb contained a camel skeleton with this unguentarium: it probably contained perfumed oil and was used as a funerary offering ritual.
The shape as well as the discoveries in the Gulf region make it possible to date this small flask from the Hellenistic to Parthian period.
