This Ojibwe bandolier bag is an exquisite example of early 20th-century floral beadwork. Executed in the line-beading style, the design features multicolored floral motifs set against a white beaded background. The beadwork is mounted on canvas and bordered with light brown velvet. Though the original yarn fringe at the bottom of the pouch is now missing, the bag remains in very fine condition. Bandolier bags were traditionally worn across the shoulder and were both ornamental and symbolic, often made for ceremonial or high-status use.
