The artist expresses the idea of "letting go" in "Old dreams, New dreams." Mcateer believes that it is often very difficult for us to accept losses and "let go," but in resisting, we only block the flow of our lives.

She uses feathers as a symbol of divine help in all our struggles and reminds us that in letting go, we make way for new dreams. Losses and disappointments are a fact of life, but faith helps us overcome all, and live a full life.
