Old Kirk Braddan

Walked on to the old church, Kirk Braddan; handsome steeple. Burial-ground beautifully shaded, and full of tombstones. Sought poor Mary Crump's but in vain - sat in the shade till we were quite refreshed.' (Dorothy Wordsworth, Journal of a Tour in the Isle of Man 1828, M 10561)
