Painting on paperboard, depicting the activity, in 1900, of an "old surgeon and healer" (nr. 1), who collects and (visually) analyzes urine of patients in order to identify their respective diseases. In addition to the identification of the patients in the consultation (nrs. 2 to 16), the painting identifies the "helper or nurse" (nr. 20) who prepares medicines for the patients, the table where the glasses with urine collected from patients are placed (nr. 17), cupping-glasses (nr. 18) and the bowl for collecting blood with them (nr. 19), a friend of the surgeon (nr. 22) and a stranger passing by (nr. 23), according to the author's inscription in the upper right corner.
