OLO (2020) is a cube-shaped residency in the centre of the city. It will be built 80 meters deep, a cube of 240m, without disturbing the landscape. The cube shape is inspired by the landscape of the Spanish village of Horta de Sant Joan, the place that inspired Pablo Picasso’s invention of Cubism and where Koo conceived the residency project. OLO will provide an immersive experience and think-space, rentable for one person at a time. The model of OLO will be presented through geolocated Augmented Reality in which the place is a cultural communication tool to approach the post-pandemic future and to find other ways to engage with the surroundings.
