La Bodega, as this unique building built in 1911 is known, became an emblematic place throughout the 20th century, a benchmark in the region as a grocery store for its high-quality products and, mainly, for the variety of cheeses that it offered, among which the Queso de Flor stood out, considered the gastronomic jewel of the Canary Islands. Due to its privileged location, at the entrance to the city, it also became an obligatory stop and tourist attraction for visitors, tourists and illustrious figures from the world of arts and politics who came to the historic center of Guía. At the tourist office, Omayra is in charge of welcoming visitors and answering our questions.
