17th edition of Konopnicka's best known tale for children. Illustrated with 8 colour illustrations and 30 drawings by Jan Marcin Szancer. The text was typeset and prepared for print by Stanisław Pigoń. The edition of 8,800 copies was printed by the industrial printing house of K. Podgórczyk i Sp. in Cracow. On the inside cover there is an annotation: "The book was approved by the Ministry of Education as supplementary reading in class V of primary schools". At the end of the book there is a note from the publisher: "The fairy-tale story <o krasnoludki i o sierotce marysi> was published by the author in print in Warsaw in 1896, and for the second time (and the last time during her lifetime) in 1904. For the second edition she slightly corrected the text, adding something here and there or changing some word (e.g. potatoes instead of spud, light instead of brightness, wheat instead of stubble, silver instead of gold, etc.). Such corrections are generally scarce. The present edition is based on the 1904 text". The photo shows pages 176 and 177.
