On Stage: Selassie Atadika

Ghanaian chef Selassie Atadika delivered a fascinating talk about New African Cuisine. She pointed out that Africa’s annual food import bill is around $34 billion dollars – and she questioned why we are not using the culinary bounty we have on the continent to drive food security and create a more sustainable food industry. She walked us through some of the flavours of African cuisine with a tasting box for each audience member. Satyajit Das is an architect who worked for Norman Foster's Foster and Partners architecture firm for several years before developing his own art practice through the Architecture Social Club art collective.
