The curtain wall at Bunce Island, a fromer slave fort in Sierra Leone is lined with eight iron cannons. These are what is remaining of sixteen cannons that previously lined the wall and bastions. These cannons were brought in after the fort was attacked in 1794 and ber the insignia of King George III of Great Britain. Eight cannons were removed when the innner walls of the bastions were filled up but eight remained. This is one of the remaining ones.
