    Typed transcript: “After the liberation we moved back to what was left from our old flat, to the “ruined” building. It was cold and we were very hungry. A wick soaked in oil spread the stench and the little light that lit up the bean and pea soup, our usual food those days. I was always afraid. Do you know, how frightening is a ruined house during the night? When the moon shines through the boards of the naked construction of the roof and paints fantastic shadows on the broken railing of the collapsed corridor. This is where we lived for more than four months…”
