Colour postcard showing the Opera House, Tunbridge Wells. Constructed in 1902 to designs by architect John Briggs, the theatre has a grand facade surmounted by a large Baroque dome, with two smaller domes at the curved corners of the building. The theatre is now a pub, with a bar on the stage, but it has been restored and refurbished carefully, in such a way that the proscenium arch, boxes, dress circle and balcony remain.
