YANAGISAWA Takahiko, the architect of the Theatre, carried out a thorough investigations in order to achieve "a musical instrument called a theatre" = the ideal for achieving the best -possible sound in all seats. In particular, the interior of the auditorium was realized as a rare structure, constituting of wood material for the ceiling, the walls, the floor as well as the chairs. Furthermore, to create "an intimate relationship between the stage and the audience", three tiers of balconies that embrace the stage and the arrangement of twenty connected seats at the side were built by obtaining special legal approval. It is indeed a theatre where the audience can enjoy the rich sound surrounded by the warmth of wood.
