This doll, Lilli, was created in celebration of the Berlin Airlift's (also known as Operation Vittles) 50th anniversary. In addition to clothes reminicent of West Berlin in the late 1940s, Lilli is holding a chocolate. An American soldier, Gail Halvorsen, brought candy to the children of West Berlin giving him the name of the 'Candy Bomber'.
