Established in 1808 by Persian Shah Feth-Ali (1795-1843). Awarded for outstanding merits to both - Shah servants and foreigners. In the center of the order there is a lion against the sunrise: the lying one for the foreigners, the standing one with the saber in its paws – for Persians. Degrees differed by the number of rays on the star – from eight to five. Lviv Historical Museum preserves the 2nd degree order for the foreigners
