Order of Saint Stephen (star)

The order was established by the Empress Maria Theresa of the Holy roman Empire on May 5, 1764 in honor of the first Hungarian King, Stephen. Centre of the decoration bears letters M.T. – Maria Theresa.
Motto: PUBLICUM MERITORUM PRAEMIUM – «Public recognotion of merits». The order was cancelled in 1918
