Reko Rennie's practice which often foresees a dialogue with the local communities and local art traditions incorporates his association to the Kamilaroi people, using traditional geometric patterns that represent his community. With this particular piece, Rennie provokes discussions surrounding Indigenous culture and identity in contemporary urban environments.
