This mantle, from from the Mirror Marble Mantle Company in Roxbury, Massachusetts, is one of at least three mantles that L.P. Grant ordered for the house in 1856. This mantle is the only remaining piece and was found in the side yard during the restoration process, excavated and returned to its original location in the west wing of the house.
