Otis tarda

Тypical bird of the planes, one of the largest flying birds in Europe. The only remaining habitat of Otis tarda in Serbia is in the fields among Mokrin, Jazovo and Sajan villages, so in 1977 a special nature reservation "Pastures of Otis tarda" was proclaimed. The natural object is part of the Kikinda Gymnasium biological cabinet collection, which was donated to the National Museum of Kikinda in 1993.
