This print is part of Yoshitoshi's famous series "100 Aspects of the Moon" which depicts scenes from traditional Chinese and Japanese history and lore. A scene from the Noh play "Tamura". Three priests come across a man sweeping fallen cherry blossoms in the Kiyomizo Temple in Kyoto. The man turns out to be the spirit of the warrior Sakanoe no Tamuramaro, one of the founders of the Kiyomizu Temple on Mount Otawa.
