Apart from the State Rooms, there are also private chambers of the Emperor, where he worked and had rest, when staying in the Gatchina Palace. The photo of the Oval Study shows a simple camp bed, a folding chair with the monogram of the Emperor on its back, and the Emperor’s military uniform and boots.
