Oxford Corporation Water Works, Swinford, Oxfordshire

The waterworks was built to supply water for Oxford by drawing water from the River Thames. The water was filtered and then pumped to a reservoir near the city. Adjacent to the waterworks is a row of five workers' cottages. Both the waterworks and cottages are still there today, although the cottages are now private houses.
