The images of Alekos Fasianos constitute direct personal experiences, condense moments and sensations, memories and emotions, the obsession for a mythology of the everyday in relation to a complete artistic and human experience of the modern Greek space is evident.
The compositions breathe comfortably, the direction of the works, the design and the color give life and rhythm. The figures seem to far exceed their physical dimensions, they function expansively, they settle dominantly on the painted surface, they impose themselves with their volume, their contact or clash, their postures and movements, their theatrical and, sometimes, grandiose gestures.
In his painting composition "Adam and Eve," the depiction of the couple dominates almost the entire painting surface, leaving only a small space for the monochromatic background adorned with simple decorative motifs reminiscent of wallpaper in an urban home. The drawing becomes a dominant element in his work, shaping the space, intensifying the plasticity and monumentality of the forms, and enhancing the sense of rhythm and movement. The colour of the forms, a vibrant and uniform blue with clean, incised lines, defines the contours of the bodies and their basic details. The decorative motifs, the scarf, and the flower, as well as the movement of Eve's hair, function scenographically and provide information about the characters and the unfolding story.
