Packages for the interned, collected at St. Martin’s church

During the martial law (13 December 1981-22 July 1983), St. Martin’s church in Warsaw served as the headquarters of the Primate's Committee in Aid of People Deprived of Freedom and their Families, - an organization founded under the patronage of the Primate of Poland Józef Glemp. The main task of the Committee was to collect gifts that were later handed over the opposition activists interned by the communist authorities.
