Paco de Lucía was one of the most influential and renowned flamenco guitarists in the world. Born in Algeciras (Cádiz) in 1947, he revolutionised flamenco with his virtuosity and ability to fuse the genre with other musical styles such as jazz.
Paco de Lucia's first biographer was the American guitarist and historian Donn E. Pohren, an American fan of Diego del Gastor who went so far as to subtitle his book "The Master Plan". Paco never read most of the works written about him.
