It is a decoration to be hung on both sides of the waist, and made by threading together several pieces of jade. The long jade decoration is put into a blue silk pocket to be inserted on both sides of Daedae or Poomdae. According to 『Gyeongguk Daejeon』1485, the material of the jade was prescribed to be Beoncheong jade for 3rd rank and above, and Beonbaek jade for 4th rank and below. According to『Guk-jo-oh-rye-ui-seo-rye』1474, there is a hook made of copper on the top, but this Pae-ok only has a loop made of silk.
