Original bank document with payment to Giuseppe Verdi for composing the opera entitled Alzira. The payment lists the conditions that the celebrated composer had to meet in the composition and in the staging of the opera.
Among the clauses are a partial renunciation of the rights to the music that he was composing and a prohibition from revealing the opera before its performance at the San Carlo Theatre.
