Diary entries covering 4 Mar 1912-25 Apr 1912, written in pencil inside Gliddon's copy of The Poetical Works of Percy Bysshe Shelley (Oxford University Press, 1908). The diary includes some pencil drawings. Gliddon was allowed reading material in her cell, but the pencils had been smuggled into prison, sewn into the collar of her coat.

Previously held a Women's Social & Political Union (WSPU) ribbon as a bookmark.

Covers topics such as: fellow suffragette inmates (including Mrs Pankhurst, Constance Moore, Phyllis Keller, Louisa Garrett Anderson), descriptions of 'ordinary prisoners' [non-suffrage], games and exercise in the yard, visits to Chapel, the warders, food, her cell.
