Theresienstadt, 4 January 1944 Dear Grete! Dear Georg! I hope you are well and have received our cards of 7th and 24th December 43. We were very happy to receive parcels from you on the 22nd and 24th December. We would really like to hear more news about you and in more detail. My wife urgently needs the copies of her and her father’s parentage documents as soon as possible. Please be kind enough to arrange this very quickly. We are well, considering the circumstances, but little Peter has hernia trouble again. He was very happy with his Christmas parcel. We think of you very often—especially on the holidays that have always meant so much to us all. Mother was often here with us during the holidays and we ate the food from home together. Hanna received a parcel from Aunt Elli on 29.12 that also delighted us. We would be glad to have the present addresses of Arthur, Max, and Alfred Wollstein. Please send warmest wishes to all our friends and relatives, and all four of us send our best wishes to you as well. Yours, Erich Rec[eived] 16.44 ans[wered] 23.4 by registered mail + 1.5
