Aware that their homeland was under occupation, refugees took the opportunity to spread the word about their country’s history. A lot of attention was devoted to history and explaining why citizens of the Baltic States and Ukraine could not return to their homes. The article “Why the Lithuanians don'r return home” explained how Soviet-Russia occupied Lithuania and wanted to veil it. A lot of attention was paid to Lithuanian deportations into Siberia land and Soviet terror.
