Parachuters, First Ed. (2019) is a unique artist book, hand drawn in graphite. Two skydivers harnessed together lose their sole parachute. They plummet towards the Earth. This narrative explores their relationship as it plays out, unravels or consolidates in these few seconds. Themes of plurality, duality and unity play out in a backdrop of relativism. Exhibited at Art Aia – La Dolce Berlin. August, 2019. (World debut.) Part of the solo exhibition: Invisible Endings Are Beginnings. Artist bio : Mary Bluestocking is a multimedia narrative artist. One branch of her work is composed of her personal, sleep-time dreams. Tragic relationships, comic folly, physical mutilation and irony are recurring features.
