Pagoda of City of Complete Purity in West Huang Temple

Zeng Yilu, born in Wugang, Hunan province, member of China Democratic League. He graduated from the Hunan First Normal College in 1916 and participated in Xinmin lnstitute founded by Mao Zedong and Cai Hesen in 1918. In 1919 he went to France and studied on a work-study basis in National School of Fine Arts in Paris, France ( École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris ). In 1925 he attended the first Chinese Modern Art Exposition in France. In 1928 he returned to China and went to teach in Wuchang Fine Arts School, National Beiping Art College,Beijing Normal University, East China College of Art, Shandong University, East China Art College. Served as professor of Nanjing Art Institute till retirement.
