Painted Desert Community Complex

Built in the early 1920s, the Painted Desert Inn was originally constructed of the same petrified wood as Arizona's Petrified Forest National Park. Its distinctive adobe facade was added during a renovation in the 1930s. The former inn now functions as a museum.
