Painted Rustic Dresser

This sober piece, in vinhático, made in a rustic style inspired by the erudite D. João V style, has only two drawers, a bisected straight top and an “apron” cut in scrolls, with carvings in simple flower motifs. The lock handles and mirrors are made of cut wrought iron. The surface of the furniture holds traces of painting typical of Minas Gerais production in the period. The piece is part of the MCB Collection.
