Rectangular painted panel from a Sicilian wedding cart with a light-hearted image of a donkey being pulled from the tail by the devil and from the front, by a monk. The phrase "Santa Pazienza" translates loosely into 'holy forebearance' or having the patience to endure suffering. The donkey is shown caught in a battle between good and evil.
