The adventures of an orphan camel' is an episodic painting of a white camel foal. From lower right, clockwise: the foal is tethered to a peg as its mother is led away by a rider in a maroon robe on a brown camel; a brown yak helps the foal break free; the foal follows at speed; the foal confronts a wolf with the help of a dog. Centre: the foal is reunited with its mother under a tree, bearing a nesting bird, beside a stream. All against a ground of green hills and domed mountain, blue sky and clouds. Polychrome with a grey and gold lurex mount.
