Take time to investigate the colors of your favorite flower in this tutorial that explores the mixing and use of tertiary colors. Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s Petunias (1925), this third and final video in our summer painting series, is geared toward artists of all ages. The previous two videos, “Permission to Paint (https://youtu.be/A-pBOMbZbZs)” and “Color Wheel Painting (https://youtu.be/m2Nf4aYmG1c)” provide a great introduction to painting for younger artists, including studio setup and the mixing of primary and secondary colors.
