Pair of white muslin cuffs with whitework embroidery. Decorated with cutwork, delicate needle lace fillings and with overcast and padded satin stitches in white cotton. When flat, each cuff forms a narrow fan shape. The top edge is cut into five slightly pointed scallops, and the lower wrist edge is formed by a plain band. All the edges, including both sides of the wrist band, are outlined with large eyelet holes.

The main part of each cuff is decorated with large curved leaves, the centres of which are cut and filled with needle lace. Above, in the scallops, are delicate sprays of feathery plants with drooping flowerheads with cutwork petals. Below are more closed flowers with cutwork centres.
