These gold earrings consist of a hammered platelet with diagonal incisions affixed to a capsule with S-shaped hooks. Two beads of transparent red glass are inserted into the capsules. The earrings were found next to the skull of a woman estimated to have been in her early thirties at the time of her death. She was buried in a stone slab grave – grave number 39 in the ancient burial site at Križišče near Spodnje Škofije. The grave also contained two earthenware jugs, an oil lamp, a bronze sewing needle and a bone hairpin. The grave is dated to the transition from the third century AD to the fourth (from Novšak, 2010).
