Pair of sleeve ruffles of muslin decorated with cotton white work. The whitework consists of chain stitch and some French knots, and with large areas of pulled-fabric work patterned with geometric fillings. The decoration is confined to the lower half of each ruffle. A continuous line of curving exotic flower heads runs above the solidly patterned scalloped edge where smaller flowers are arranged against a pulled-fabric ground.

The ruffles gathered onto narrow tapes along the upper edges.
