Palace of Culture "ENERHETYK"

The Palace of Culture ""Energetik"" is located in the city of Pripyat, Kyiv region. Energetik was once a popular leisure destination for the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. They made up the majority of Pripyat's population. After power plant's fourth unit exploded in 1986, the residents were evacuated, and the city has been abandoned ever since. Over time, Pripyat became part of mass culture: it was used as a location for the computer game Stalker, and the mini-series ""Chernobyl"" depicted the story of the explosion. Also, people conduct tours here, in compliance with the necessary measures, of course.
