Overlooking the scenic Piazza dei Guidi, Palazzina Uzielli was reconfigured in 2006 by the artist Mimmo Paladino as the evocative entrance to the museum itinerary and since 2004 has been the primary exhibition area for the Leonardo Museum. The building is named after Gustavo Uzielli, one of the major Leonardo da Vinci scholars of the second half of the 19th century. Today it houses the ticket office, the teaching hall, spaces for temporary exhibitions, and the sections dedicated to machinery for construction works and textile manufacturing, mechanical clocks, and Leonardo’s anatomical studies.
