Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East
Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

Sheared and rounded rim; short, narrow cylindrical neck, slightly widening towards the rim; globular body; base is a disk (separately added or not?) with pontil mark. Around the body and base is one single thread wound to form a spiral pattern; the thread itself is very similar to a chain handle: pinched together at intervals and at certain point a line is punched into the decoration so that it is uneven. No residue; piece is well preserved, extensive dirt/patina on in and outside of the vessel.
