The inscription reading, ‘O grey falcon, may God sanctify your exalted secret, with aid from God’, is composed in the form of a bird. The grey falcon or a falcon catching its prey, was the epithet of Abdülkadir Geylani, leader of the Kadiri Sufi order because of the way he immediately influenced people whom he met.Reference: Tanındı, Z., Harmony of Line and Colour, Illuminated Manuscripts Documents and Calligraphy in the Sadberk Hanım Museum Collection, Sadberk Hanım Museum Publication, İstanbul 2019, pp. 638,639.
