The inscription reading, ‘O the exalted Sheikh Sultan Yusuf Sünbül Sinan, may God sanctify his secret,’ is written in gold jali thuluth in an istif composition on the black sufi headdress, which stands on a low table on a green ground. In the upper corners of the panel is a pink hyacinth sprig symbolising the Sünbüli order.Reference: Tanındı, Z., Harmony of Line and Colour, Illuminated Manuscripts Documents and Calligraphy in the Sadberk Hanım Museum Collection, Sadberk Hanım Museum Publication, İstanbul 2019, p. 649.
