Fabric panel with a parrot

Quadrangular fabric panel with several overlying layers on which a polychrome parrot on a burgundy background was made through the cutout. Once on the tourist market, this textile created for women's traditional clothing is used as decorative wall element because of the beauty of its colours and the peculiarity of its production technique. The traditional technique involves overlapping cotton layers of different colours; the design is obtained by carving up to the desired colour layer and the different layers are kept together by simple stitches and embroidery.
